Tales of a Reluctant Angel Review

Tales of a Reluctant Angel

By Gary J. McCleary

The Guardians are powerful evolved loving Beings but their exalted logic contains one major flaw which prevents them from interfering with the free will of another.

Michael Thomas once aspired to become a Guardian but his logic contained a major flaw as well. He is unable to stand by and do nothing while good people are injured, even if this is a consequence of their own choices.

It suits these powerful Guardians to now use Michael’s skills to accomplish tasks that they themselves are unable to perform.

These then are the continuing adventures of Michael Thomas, the Reluctant Angel.

***MY HONEST REVIEW OF Tales of a Reluctant***

The Guardians are highly evolved spiritual beings who believe in no interference of the free will of the people. Michael Thomas is a lower being, who can’t pass up the opportunity to save a life, even if it puts him at odds with the Guardians. This is a compilation of stories involving Michael traveling in time to help various individuals right a wrong, with the risk of changing the future magnanimously.

This takes the idea of a guardian angel to a different level. This book was not what I expected. I liked the way it was told as different stories, but eventually intertwining. I always love reading books like that. It always excites me when I recognize a person or place from a previous story. I especially liked the one where Michael returns to the family he hasn’t seen for so long. I couldn’t help but feel his joy, as well as his pain.

About the Author

Gary J McCleary was trained in Mathematics and Physics and was a teacher and head teacher with TAFE NSW until his retirement in 2005. At this point he began to fulfill a life long ambition which was to write science fiction novels. By now though, he had also developed an interest in the so called 'Para' sciences including the very strong possibility that life continues on after the physical body dies. Some of the strongest evidence for this comes from the so called 'Near Death Experience' or NDE where subjects are resuscitated at the point of death and come back with amazing descriptions of a life beyond this life.
